After previously uniting for Fall/Winter 2021 and 2022, London-based label Wales Bonner and adidas Originals have joined forces once again for a fourth collaboration.
Honing in on styles from the ‘70s and ‘80s, the offering draws on Bonner’s research into the music and photography of Burkina Faso in West Africa and pays homage to the region’s energy and individuality of style.
These references are seen throughout the collection’s apparel, which includes athletic-inspired takes on jacquard knitwear and a ‘70s-inspired adidas Track Tops and Track Pants. Key looks are reimagined through the lens of music and movement and are further elevated in a bold and joyful colour palette comprised of “Primary Red”, “Sun Yellow” and “Pale Pink.”
Elsewhere, the collaboration reintroduces two versions of the adidas Country sneaker in new black and brown colourways. Additional footwear options include two pairs of the WB Samba—a highlight of previous collaborations—in a red and white colourway, and a second in white and green.
Showcased in a campaign shot by Jalan and Jibril Durimel and styled by Tom Guinness, the full Spring/Summer 2022 collection will release on June 4 through adidas Confirmed and select retailers.
