Dr. Martens has teamed up with Original Shift to release Broken In, a special limited-edition zine that showcases an anthology of stories, culture and community.

Paying homage to the subcultures and individuals that have evolved alongside each other over time, the project—captured by photographer Tayler Prince-Fraser—offers a unique glimpse into the world of the heritage shoemaker, celebrating the brand’s long-standing association with youth culture and its ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Starring London-born musician Jeshi, No Signal’s Ghadir Mustafa, documentary-maker Aria Shahrokhshahi and Last Pick founder Koen Prince-Fraser, the 100+ page series explores the timeless subcultures of punk, two-tone and ska, while also celebrating the current generation breaking the status quo and embodying the rebellious attitude of Dr. Martens.

Original Shift’s contribution to the zine will also be included in the Museum of Youth Culture’s archive, establishing them as a reference point for future generations. Inspired by the partnership, the pair have also announced the launch of The Dr. Martens Creative Fund, a new bursary scheme to support two young creatives paving the way for the next set of rebels and innovators.
