Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears has just unveiled its new curated collection alongside grime star Skepta and art/luxury marketplace Sotheby’s

The collection follows a whirlwind few weeks for the Tottenham legend. Earlier this month, he announced his first foray into the world of contemporary art with renowned auction house Sotheby’s, and not long after revealed his service agency Big Smoke Corp had handed over the reins to global sportswear powerhouse PUMA.

Now, continuing to push the creative boundaries once more, the six-piece apparel offering hones in on Skepta’s very own art piece—Mama Goes to Market, which sold for £81,900—and looks to the “abstract concept of home, featuring both traditional and surrealist elements such as the graffiti and printed textiles” as inspiration.

Reimagined through garments and textiles from Emory’s coveted streetwear label, items include a pair of Levi’s 501 jeans, which have been reimagined in an indigo finish with small streaks of white paint from back to front, and a matching tote bag. The hand-painted colour scheme is also continued elsewhere in the capsule, with lighter hues dressing both a long sleeve T-shirt, hooded sweatshirt, and silk scarf. Rounding out the offering is a short-sleeve white tee featuring a screen-printed graphic of Mama Goes to Market.
