Plenty of us are eagerly awaiting the warmer weather ahead, but these celebrities are still welcoming the icy conditions. Many of us won’t ever be able to justify shelling out the money needed to create a one-of-a-kind diamond necklace or set of grills. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t still interesting to see some of the creative custom pieces being cooked up by some of the most renowned jewelers in the world for our favorite celebrities and the craftsmanship involved in bringing them to life.
Some of the highlights from the past month included Rick Ross’ new pieces nodding to his business partner in the cannabis industry, Bad Bunny’s gold cross spotted on his neck during a recent WWE appearance, Snoop Dogg’s blinged crypto hard drive, and more. Take a closer look at some of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases from April 2023 below.
2023 NFL Draft Picks’ Custom Chains
Jeweler: Leo Khusro
The NFL Draft is a dream come true for the best college football players in the country. After years of dedication and hard work, they finally get to join a professional team. So naturally, plenty of them decide to commemorate the night with some one-of-a-kind ice. This year, many of them decided to tap in with Houston-based jeweler Leo Khusro to create their draft night pieces. Khusro worked with 19 draft picks including the top four picks Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Will Anderson Jr., and Anthony Richardson. Pieces ranged from iced-out Terminator skulls and wolf heads to player initials and jersey numbers. Khusro said it best when he spoke with Complex earlier this year, “I’m your favorite athlete’s favorite jeweler.”
Rick Ross’ High Tolerance Chain and Ring
Jeweler: Mazza New York
Rick Ross celebrated one of his recent headlining sets with some new ice. After rocking the stage at the High Tolerance 4/20 Carnival in New York City, High Tolerance CEO Manny gifted him with some new pieces. A High Tolerance logo ring and pendant were each flooded with diamonds. According to TMZ, the pendant consists of 14k rose gold and rests on a 19 carat diamond chain. The 14k gold ring is covered in 22 carats of VS1 and F-colored diamonds. The pair reportedly costs around $130,000. You may not be able to cop these pieces, but Rozay and High Tolerance are dropping the “Collins Ave” cannabis strain this summer for all you smokers out there.
Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Ledger Chain
Jeweler: Eliantte
If you’re a pro wrestling fan, you may have caught Snoop Dogg hitting a People’s Elbow on the Miz at WrestleMania 39. But did you catch the chain around his neck? For the special event, Snoop tapped Eliantte to create a gold Ledger Nano wallet chain. The chain features Death Row Records written in black diamonds on one side and Ledger and Eliantte branding engraved on the other. If you’re like me, you had no idea what a Ledger wallet was until today. It’s a hard drive that securely stores cryptocurrency. But don’t get any ideas about trying to snatch Snoop’s crypto assets off his neck. If his display at WrestleMania 39 showed us anything, it’s that he won’t hesitate to lay the smackdown on your candy ass.
Stefon Diggs’ Iced Out G-Shock
Jeweler: Eliantte
It looks like Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs may have been one of the individuals outbid by Kim Kardashian for Pharrell’s iced-out G-Shock. But one of the perks about signing a 4-year contract extension worth $96 million in 2022 is that you can just go make your own instead. Diggs decided to hit up one of the best jewelers in the game, Eliantte, to flood his G-Shock with diamonds. Diggs’ digital watch features a diamond case and baby blue band. Many of us probably treated G-Shocks like Rolexes back in high school. This one may actually come with a comparable price tag.
Bad Bunny’s Cross
Jeweler: Icebox
Hitting the stage at Coachella. Turning heads at the Met Gala. Prepping for a match at WWE Backlash in his home country of Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny has been a busy man. But he’s still found time to stop by Atlanta’s Icebox to cop some new ice. The music superstar was recently spotted at Coachella wearing a jagged cross pendant covered in 14k gold VS diamonds around his neck. He wore the same cross in the ring during a recent appearance on Monday Night RAW. Wrestling fans are used to seeing championship belts in the ring every week, but it isn’t as common to see this type of gold in the squared circle. Props to Benito for not getting a scratch on his new pendant while beating the hell out of Damian Priest.
