Draft day has arrived a bit earlier than expected at OVO. Celebrating the Toronto Raptors’ first draft selection in 1995, OVO, Damon Stoudamire, and Mitchell & Ness have joined forces to release a new collection honouring the team’s classic debut look.
The capsule includes throwback jerseys taken straight out of 1995. The jerseys are available in white and the signature purple, both with the Raptor laced onto the centre. Alongside the classic design is the OVO owl on the upper left side of the jersey. On the back side of the jersey is the famous “Know Yourself” quote that Drake rapped back on his 2015 track of the same name.
Also included in the collection is a varsity jacket with Raptors and OVO branding placed on the chest and sleeves, a white and purple OVO cap, a black and purple tuque, a hoodie with the Raptor crunching the OVO owl, a black and purple sweater with the Raptor munching on the OVO logo, and a pair of purple shorts.
Damon Stoudamire starred in the collection’s promotional video, with Stoudamire reminiscing on his success during his time with the Raptors. The video consists of Stoudamire wearing the new collection, speaking to the camera as well as highlights from his time with the Toronto Raptors.
“A lot of my successes came from fears: the fear of failure,” he said. “Whether that was an extra rep, whether that was someone working harder than me, that’s what drove me every day.”
The Draft Day collection is available today at OVO Stores, the OVO website, and the Mitchell & Ness website.
