Google Made a Tiny Change to Its Logo This Weekend
This weekend, Google altered their logo in such a small way, you probably didn't notice it.

Google's logo has become so ubiquitous that even when it's converted into a Jackson Pollock drip painting, we can still recognize the colorful brand. Maybe that's why the logo's latest transformation, a slight adjustment between two of the letters, went mostly unnoticed this weekend.
Google's new logo seems like the work of an OCD designer who couldn't stand that the G and L weren't lined up properly. In typography terms, the initial problem was improper kerning, adjusting characters in a font to make a visually acceptable result.
A Google spokesperson reached out to Gizmodo, who first reported the story via a design-minded Redditor, with the following statement: "Great to see people notice and appreciate even single-pixel changes—we tweaked the logo a little while ago to make sure it looks its sharpest regardless of your screen resolution."
