Australian stencil artist Damien Mitchell's newest mural will play tricks on your eyes. His piece, painted on garage doors in Brooklyn, shows the interior of a subway car, one that actually seems to reced into the distance. His skills with perspective could stand up to Renaissance masters.
The optical illusion piece was created for The Bushwick Collective in Mitchell's recognizable sketchy style. The mural blends themes of the gritty, urban identity with age-old painting techniques, and the effect is awesome visual mischief.
