Best Style Releases: Supreme, Union, Awake NY, A-Cold-Wall* X Timberland, And More

School's out for a lot of college students, which means it's time to get those summer wardrobes together. Whether you're planning to chill on the beach, go on hikes, or just spend some time in the city, there's plenty of great style releases this week to consider.

Supreme is releasing a collaboration with the underground New York City arts collective Bernadette Corporation. Timberland has just released a collab with A-Cold-Wall* to celebrate the workwear brand's 50th anniversary. Union is dropping some great in-house apparel for the summer, Arc'teryx is back with another System_A drop, and Casablanca has some great exclusives at Nordstrom.

The first drop from Awake NY's Spring/Summer 2023 collection arrives on Friday. Standouts include a classic varsity jacket and a jacket made in collaboration with Alpha Industries. Fleece quarter zips featuring airbrush graphics, sweater vests, nylon joggers with all-over prints, trousers, soccer jerseys, and more will be available.

Timberland has launched its second Future73 drop to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Its latest partnership is a collaboration with Samuel Ross and his brand A-Cold-Wall*. A-Cold-Wall*'s take on Timberland's iconic 6-inch boot removes all of the laces for a minimalist look. A Three-Eye Lug Boat Shoe constructed out of ballistic nylon will also be available. The collection also includes hand-dyed Timberland apparel that's pulled from the brand's archive like a hunting parka, cargo shorts, insulated vests, and crewnecks.

Union Los Angeles will release its Summer 2023 collection on Thursday. Chris Gibbs' latest in-house release is inspired by summer nights in Los Angeles. A range of 22 T-shirts in pastel pink and baby blue colorways will be available. A standout piece is the Langford Shirt, a short-sleeve button-down piece that boasts utilitarian pockets and an eye-catching "Frog Camo" pattern.

Supreme's latest drop will be centered on a collaboration with the underground art collective Bernadette Corporation. The collective was formed the same year Supreme was founded in 1994 by artists Bernadette Van-Huy, John Kelsey and Jim Fletcher. It was originally formed to host a party at Club USA but later extended into the world of fashion, magazine editorials, films, writing, and fine art. The name of the art collective poked fun at the commercialization of creative spaces in the mid '90s. Notable works created by the Bernadette Corporation include a fashion label that casted models off the Yellow Pages and produced editorials inspired by the Lo-Lifes; a magazine produced in the early-2000s, an experiential documentary on 2001 antiglobalization protests, and a 2005 novel authored by 150 anonymous contributors. The capsule includes track jackets, work shirts, raglan tops, soccer tops, track pants, chino pants, work shorts, two graphic T-shirts, hats, mini towels, basketballs, and nipple clamps.

Prada has a wonderful array of short-sleeve cotton shirts with floral graphics that are aptly themed for the summer months. Each shirt boasts a bowling collar, and oversized fit, a floral pattern that vaguely references Hawaiian shirts of the '50s, and a subtle Prada triangle logo hit on the back.

For a limited time, Casablanca will have a special pop-up shop inside Nordstrom stores featuring an exclusive capsule of product centered on modern tennis-inspired athleisure. Ready-to-wear, accessories, jewelry, eyewear, and hats for men and women will be available. Standouts include après sport tracksuits, engineered knitwear pieces, and on-court sport looks. A a special collaboration with MAD Paris that includes a Contax G2 camera and a Casablanca tennis racket compete with a specially designed case will also be sold.

C.P. Company has just released additional accessories for the summer months ahead. Hats, bags, and beach accessories boast military and sportswear-inspired details. Standouts include the Nylon B Utility Pack and Ba-Tic Light Mixed Waistband Pack. Both bags feature C.P. Company's unique garment dye, are constructed from high-end materials, and boast military-inspired pockets for a traditional technical look.

Made Under The Stairs is a new screenprinting shop based in Blissville, New York. The store is currently taking orders for anyone looking to produce custom T-shirts or perhaps launch a new streetwear label. Supervsn Studios will expand on its Spring/Summer 2023 offerings with a new 11-piece capsule collection dubbed "Crown Technology." The first drop that arrives this week features black/white and green sets along with a white graphic T-shirt. Vault by Vans has partnered with Josué Thomas of Gallery Dept. to bring a special look to the OG Old Skool LX. The collaboration is inspired by punk show flyers and boasts screenprinted graphics on leather, suede details, branded laces, and a faux fur trim. The shoe sold out when Gallery Dept. released it last week on its own web store, so Vans' release will mark the last chance to buy it for retail.

Chloé has collaborated with Teva to release high-end sandals perfect for the summer. Chloé's take on Teva's Hurricane XLT2 Ampsole boasts hand-tied ribbons inspired by festival bracelets. Another model that's available features the fashion house’s distinctive whipstitching throughout. Both sandals are also made out of recycled materials.
