We now know what the Pyer Moss team had up their sleeves.
After weeks of anticipation, the New York-based label has finally released its first-ever handbag range and in-house women’s footwear line. Pyer Moss’ founder/designer Kerby Jean-Raymond confirmed the releases earlier this month with a billboard located in Brooklyn’s East Flatbush—the neighborhood where he grew up.
“Our first billboard just went up. Guess where…,” he wrote on Instagram. “Our first bag collection drops this month.”
The handbag collection is anchored by geometrical designs made from 100 percent Italian calfskin. The pieces feature a minimal gunmetal logo, removable strap, top handle, and zip closure. There’s also a sleek “network” shoulder clutch; a crossbody “wave” bag shaped like a hand; as well as an asymmetrical design adorned with padded magnetic hands. The bags are available in black and yellow colorways.
As for the women’s mainline footwear, Pyer Moss has come through with a thigh-high “ceiling boot,” an open-toed sandal with a wrap-around ankle strap, an ankle-cut boot, and a heeled-sandal with a padded leather overlay. The footwear offering is available in black, yellow, and red.
