Putting functionality at the forefront of its concentration, Vancouver-based Nocturnal Workshop has released a video campaign highlighting the design of its spring/summer 2014 3M Reflective Backpack.

The film, directed by Blake Ponto, reveals the bag’s practical and stylish qualities while donned by Canadian cyclist Amiel Flett during a day-long marathon of peddling. Accented with hand-finished leather detailing, its water-resistant shell is made from 3M reflective material, which has experienced high popularity in 2014, showing up in anything from socks to beanies.

Coming in red, silver and black colorways, the bag’s sleek, minimalist design helps the product from looking like a safety vest, while maintaining the necessary utility components for road safety.
