Fear of God is best known for its head-turning take on classic streetwear items—blending luxury fabrics and exaggerated proportions with rock ’n‘ roll- and religious-inspired references. Though it’s far from a minimalist label, its founder Jerry Lorenzo knows a thing or two about keeping things simple.
On Wednesday, Fear of God released the lookbook for its upcoming Fall/Winter 2018 Essentials line. The range, as the name suggests, is made up entirely of staple garments that can be easily slide into most wardrobes. The graphics are subtle, the silhouettes are classic, and the colors are kept relatively neutral, with a few splashes of bright red and yellow.
This season’s range is similar to the inaugural Essentials collection that dropped earlier this year, as it includes everything from tees, pullover hoodies, sweats, coats, and hooded coaches jackets. As far as accessories go, it appears the range will deliver a backpack and branded socks, which will pair nicely with the Essentials x Converse sneaker collaboration.
You can check out the full lookbook, shot by Shaniqwa Jarvis, below. The Essentials Fall/Winter 2018 collection is expected to drop in September. Stay tuned as more information about the range—including a release date, stockists, and price points—becomes available.
