Every time I write about sneakers I get filled with this existential dread that Schlossman will turn to Skylar and be like, "Yo Bergl, check out this fucking piece of garbage sneaker Moy picked." And then Bergl will turn to Welty and be like, "Yo Welty, check out the type of sneakers Moy thinks are cool. He's such an old." And then Welty will turn to Russ and be like, "Yo Russ, check out these wack sneakers Four Pins is gonna write about." And then Russ will just shake his head. He doesn't get to pass along my poor taste because his computer is where the desks end. So, now you know the order in which the Complex staff sit. Or at least the staff that lets me sit in their row. [Editor's note: We've since shuffled around, but this is more or less accurate.] At one point I thought I was gonna have to sit with the interns who sit right outside the bathrooms. Anyways, I like these Asics because it's gonna start getting cold soon and low top woven sneakers aren't really conducive for traversing copious amounts of frozen tundra. And, obviously, suede uppers are. DON'T TRY AND SMACK ME WITH A TECHNICALITY. SUEDE WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO HANDLE BAD WEATHER AND ISN'T THAT PRECIOUS. BUT YOUR PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS ARE.
