While some of us may have prioritized saving the batteries on our phones during the blackout caused by Hurricane Sandy, some dedicated and established photographers documented the storm. "#SANDY" is an iPhone photography book that features images revealing the damage and aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The images are transferred from the digital to print medium, broadening its scope of communication from social media to real life interaction.
The project is currently accepting donations through the "#SANDY" Indiegogo campaign, which is raising funds to meet the scheduled release date in 2014. Those who purchase the book and contribute will get early access in October of this year, and receive the book published by Daylight Books before it is officially released. All proceeds will then be donated to Occupy Sandy recovery efforts. Go on and donate to support creativity, compassion, and rebuilding efforts.
