Slinkachu's New Work In Paris Raises Consciousness of Unemployment
Only a small issue to those who cant see it.
The work of the artist and photographer known as Slinkachu has been eye-catching for the last seven or eight years—as long as you have a good eye. The artist “abandons little people in the streets,” creating micro-scenes both evocative and surprising, jewels of miniature humanity within hard, cold urban environments.
The artist is working on a new series, titled “Why is it so hard to find a job?” He’s abandoning his little people throughout the streets of Paris, to highlight the skyrocketed unemployment numbers and comment on the state of youth underemployment in the European Union, a figure EU-wide that reached 21% in May, according to the Associated Press.
