Check out these photos of the current show from British painter Ian Davenport called “Colorfall.” The work is on display now through October 26 at New York City’s Paul Kasmin Gallery in Chelsea. Davenport here creates something completely psychedelic and somehow also ordinal, with regimented bands of color quite literally falling into one another as if the bottom of the canvas is a barrier—a kind of commentary on the limitations of the very medium that it exists within.
