The first J. Crew store in Canada opened last week in Toronto's Yorkdale Mall, and what should be a great thing is instead, turning into bad business. The retail chain has increased the prices of merchandise in the Toronto store and the Canadian online store by 15%. After taxes and duties are included online as well, some final prices have been raised as much as 50% versus the U.S. site. Canadian shoppers are pissed, to say the least. J. Crew is said to be taking complaints very seriously and, "will continue to work to provide you with an excellent online shopping experience." Aren't you proud to be an American now?
