Pro skateboarder and fashion designer Eli Reed has a new interview with Mass Appeal, where he touches on his relationships inspiring his art and his views on the current trends in skateboarding and fashion. In the interview, Reed says "[his] relationships with the women in [his] life inspire a lot of emotions: sometimes love, sometimes lust, romance, and pain. Making art is the same as making love."

Reed also cites the legendary Mark Gonzales as one of his biggest influences, and compares Gonzales's eccentric fashion and skateboarding style to "performance art, with all the colors and movements blending together."

The on-again, off-again eponymous brand can be found in Supreme and Opening Ceremony, and has been worn by Rihanna in the past. His collections always feature a clean selection of pieces with 90's-style motifs, prints, and graphics. He says that "right now in skateboarding, the essence of the ’90s is a trend that a lot of companies are following," but his collections find a way to stay uniquely his own despite that hype.
