Liam Hodges meets ellesse for the second instalment of their ongoing collaborative partnership, entering Spring/Summer 2020 fuelled by sci-fi nostalgia.
A seamless blend of Italian sportswear and a boundary-pushing British design aesthetic, the second helping of Liam Hodges x ellesse maintains the futuristic sporting vision established in their Autumn/Winter 2019 collaboration. Spring/Summer 2020 shifts the focus to warmer weather sporting endeavours, namely the rich tennis heritage at ellesse's core, and reenvisioning it with 80's sci-fi nostalgia. Described by Hodges as 'Boris Becker meets Tron', the collection comprising of neon piping and special print and embroidery finishes across a selection of lightweight shorts, tees, and sweats. Courtside staples such as polo shirts and tracksuits make apperances, fused with graphic and text applications that reference the digital realm. Archival nods to classic game wear take a prominent role amongst the offerings accessory selection, with bucket hats, caps, sweatbands, and visors providing the perfect finishing touches.
