NBA Tunnel Outfits Week 5

The NBA tunnel before a game has become a runway for players. Nowadays, the outfits worn into the arena garner as much attention as game highlights. People have always paid attention to the sneakers players wear on the court. But now, players need to also make sure they're arriving in a proper fit as well.

This season, we are highlighting 10 of our favorite NBA tunnel fits each week. Guys like LeBron James and PJ Tucker have become known for their pregame style choices, but there are plenty of other players who should be on your radar.

Whether it's popular sneakers like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan I, apparel from popular brands like Aimé Leon Dore and John Elliott, or even pieces from their very own label, there are plenty of ways for a pregame fit to stand out from the crowd. If you want even more analysis of style around the league this season, make sure to also check out Tunnel Takedown hosted by Racks Hogan, NBA champion Matt Barnes, and creative director Gia Seo airing Wednesdays at 5 p.m. EST.

LeBron James

Date: Dec. 1

Location: Staples Center (Los Angeles)

LeBron James pulled up to Staples Center on Sunday in the all black fit. The standout pieces are his John Elliott leather jacket and very rare "MoMA" Off-White x Nike Air Force 1s. He completes it with a graphic hoodie from Better Gift Shop emblazoned with an illustration inspired by the classic mob movie Goodfellas. Maybe he wanted to show some love for Martin Scorsese after watching The Irishman over Thanksgiving weekend.

Kemba Walker

Date: Nov. 27

Location: TD Garden (Boston)

Cold weather means it's coat season and the temperatures get especially frigid in New England. Kemba Walker decided to keep warm in a colorful mohair trench coat by Etro. He kept the rest of the fit simple with a black hoodie, black jeans, and the "Ray Allen" Air Jordan VII laced up on feet.

PJ Tucker

Date: Dec. 3

Location: AT&T Center (San Antonio)

PJ Tucker keeps up the consistency with another solid tunnel fit this week. The colorful cardigan stands outs against a dark T-shirt from Rick Owens, and olive green lounge pants from Haider Ackermann. Sneakerheads will notice the "Mark Smith Laser" Nike Air Force 1 from 2005 on feet, an obscure pair you probably won't see anyone else wearing any time soon. The NBA sneaker king was carrying his footwear for the game too, the cult favorite "Chutney" Air Jordan XIII Low.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Date: Dec. 3

Location: Smoothie King Center (New Orleans)

Nickeil Alexander-Walker continues his campaign for best dressed rookie in the NBA this week. The patchwork puffer jacket from Stüssy's Fall/Winter 2019 collection and vintage Toronto Blue Jays cap are both solid pieces in their own right, but the grey Kaws x Air Jordan IVs that completed the fit are the obvious highlight of the ensemble that sneaker fans will surely envy.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Date: Dec. 1

Location: Smoothie King Center (New Orleans)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showed some love to Olivier Rogers, a favorite designer among some of the younger NBA players in recent years, with one of his latest tunnel fits. A bright yellow hoodie from the brand's collab with Patron of the New and eye-catching "Ruced" pants show SGA is an avid supporter. For the final touch, he opted for the highly-coveted "Lightning" Air Jordan IVs that released way back in 2006.

Rui Hachimura

Date: Nov. 29

Location: Staples Center (Los Angeles)

Washington Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura arrived to to the Staples Center in style with a Saint Laurent graphic T-shirt and striped jacket. Showing off his Jordan Brand endorsement, he decided to wear the yet-to-be-released Air Jordan I Mid collaboration with Clot founder Edison Chen.

Kevin Love

Date: Dec. 3

Location: Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Cleveland)

It looks like Kevin Love might have found his new favorite brand. The veteran forward once again showed up to the arena in product from Aimé Leon Dore's Fall/Winter 2019 collection. This time it was a graphic long sleeve T-shirt emblazoned with a Range Rover. Sticking with the theme, he wore a vintage corduroy Range Rover cap as well. He completes the chill fit with tobacco-colored chinos and classic white-on-white Nike Air Force 1s, which are a go-to for Love.

Allen Crabbe

Date: Nov. 29

Location: Banker's Life Fieldhouse (Indianapolis)

Allen Crabbe kept the fit simple and let the accessories do the talking with this one. Sure, he's still wearing pieces from popular brands like Fear of God and Palm Angels, and some "Wave Runner" Adidas Yeezy Boost 700s, but you can't help but be drawn to the Louis Vuitton Keepall by his side. The Prism version was part of Virgil Abloh's debut collection for the Parisian fashion house, and was easily one of the most popular items that released.

Iman Shumpert

Date: Dec. 1

Location: Barclays Center (Brooklyn)

Iman Shumpert has been known to have a unique style. That was on full display in the Barclays Center tunnel on Dec. 1 when he rolled up in a Rick Owens coat with large leather pocket detailing. He paired that with the ubiqutous Travis Scott x Air Jordan I and a pair of jeans from his own brand, Centerpiece.

John Henson

Date: Dec. 3

Location: Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Cleveland)

At first glance, John Henson's fit might seem a little nostalgic. But this isn't an ICECREAM hoodie from 2007. This is actually a recently-released collab with Palm Angels bearing the recognizable Cones and Bones logo. Henson pairs the hoodie with an Off-White varsity jacket from 2006, Amiri pants, and the Serena Williams colorway of the Off-White x Nike Blazer Mid to match the pink ice cream cone stamped on his chest.
