Levi's Vintage Clothing have dropped a fire replica of Albert Einstein’s iconic Menlo Cossack jacket made from slick, black sheep leather. The jacket features a stripped back all-black shell, on a remake inspired by Einstein’s original.

Levi’s first acquired Einstein’s jacket at a Christie's auction in 2016, taking cues from the retro style to inform the design details for the brand’s referential version. The LVC jacket is "a stitch-by-stitch reproduction” crafted from 100% Italian sheep leather and features front button closure, side pockets and a collar.

Levi’s have also partnered with perfume house D.S & Durga to create a scent that imagines what Einstein’s original jacket would have smelled like. The resulting mixture is laced with notes of burley pipe tobacco, papyrus manuscripts, and vintage leather for a warm, musky scent. The special-edition package also features a replica of the Christie’s auction paddle that secured the winning bid for the OG jacket.

The LVC Einstein Menlo Cossack Jacket, perfume and paddle will be sold together for £1,060, limited to just 500 sets and is available to cop now from the Levi’s website. Check out the jacket and accompanying package below.
