Istanbul-based LES BENJAMINS is flying the flag for Turkey with an international stylistic showcase. Having established a strong grassroots following driven by collaboration and the brand's community commitments, LES BENJAMINS looks to founder Bunyamin Aydin's heritage, PUMA's sportswear DNA, and Istanbul's unique geographical positioning for their latest collaboration, framed by the freedom of exploration.
For their second season of collaboration, PUMA and LES BENJAMINS reunite with a focus on the cultural and natural beauty of exploration, characterised within the collection through intricate detailing, fabrications, and finishes suited to tackle the outdoors. When building the collection, Bunyamin took a magnifying glass the PUMA's sportswear archive, moving his focus to the world of hiking with the mystic beauty of the Peruvian mountain scape as a point of inspiration.
Keeping in line with the needs of the mountain and street explorers of the modern world, the collection comes fitted technical, weather-ready fabrications, highlighted by the likes of the Storm Jacket. Pieced together with comfort at its core, the pieces borrow rubber badges from archival Hiking design, while LES BENJAMINS signature Turkish carpet-inspired prints offer an exciting edge that extends throughout the full collection. Whether it is hoodies, track sets, or tees, shape and fit are built with movement in mind and decorated with artisan flair. Where the collection truly excels is LES BENJAMINS interpretation of PUMA's iconic footwear lineup, which includes the CELL Alien, Storm, RS-X Mid, and Thunder DISC for Season Two. Given the 90s icons return to form, the CELL Alien was a natural choice, its bright neon and deep blue hues extending across the collection's apparel component. A weathered, distressed vintage aesthetic is prevalent throughout the footwear lineup, perfectly executed on the Storm, with subtler applications appearing on both the Thunder Disc and RS-X Mid.
