Never one to shy away from the boldest end of the design spectrum, Rick Owens prepares for summer with two new eyewear styles.
Those that have stayed locked it to Rick Owens deliveries from season to season are familiar with the dark extravagance his apparel, footwear, and accessories evoke. It's this signature approach to design mixed with minimal palettes that have continually set the designer apart from the crowd. With summer now on the approach, Rick Owens sets up to launch two distinctive eyewear styles with 'The Shield’ and 'The Rick Frame'.
First up is The Shield, a laser-etched frame with inlaid metal studs, fitted with a stainless-steel rim that extends the full length of the oversized structure. This shape is the real head-turner, truly reflecting the brand's design ethos. The second is The Rick Frame, a signature wrap-around shape favoured by Rick, offered as both optical and sun options.
Both of these Rick Owens eyewear shapes will be available to purchase from May 15th via the brand's online store.
