The Weeknd is no stranger to fashion-oriented collaborations, but his latest might be the biggest he's done so far. Partnering with BAPE for a new collaborative collection, The Weeknd will be dropping a new eight-piece capsule on Aug. 4. Originally teased when The Weeknd performed at Coachella earlier this year, the collection has been a long time coming, and today the lookbook has dropped in anticipation for its impending launch.
Consisting of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, sweat shorts, and a work jacket, the collection includes a custom XO BAPEÂ camo pattern. Also included in the drop is the original iconic full-zip shark hoodie with XO branding, and an exclusive rug. According to the press release, the collection took over a year of work to come together.
The lookbook, which includes The Weeknd himself modeling some of the items, stars a number of XO artists including Nav and 88 Camino sporting the collection. With a dingy, Polaroid aesthetic, it perfectly matches the dark, forlorn nature of The Weeknd's music.Â
