The North Face recently unveiled its Pinnacle Archives – an exclusive collection of archival products used by athletes that is up for sale via auction.
Set at 2100m in the heart of the Dolomites, located in Val San Nicolò in the Italian Alps, the pop-up is only accessible by foot. Those that take up the two-hour hike will be greeted by an eight-piece collectors' pieces showcase.
Each product being carefully restored and labelled with a personal message from each athlete. The collection includes the following:
- Antarctica Summit Series L3 Down Jacket worn by Alex Honnold, to protect the record-breaking climber from the cold of Antarctica on a recent expedition.
- Summit Series L6DownJacketworn by Tamara Lunger, a symbol of her strength and motivation on her Nanga Parbat summit attempt.
- Antarctica Summit Series Ventrix Expedition Jacket donated by US climbing legend Conrad Anker.
- Summit Series Verto 32 Legacy Pack which endured more than eleven hours on the rock with climber James Pearson in Punta Giradili.
- Summit Series Down Jacket which was with climber Caroline Ciavaldini’sup the Grand Capucin.
- XL Base Camp Duffel which accompanied snowboarder XavierdeleRue’s on his descent of an active volcano on the island of Vanuatu.
- S Base Camp Duffel used by David Göttler on hisattemptto summit the “Killer Mountain” Nanga Parbat.
- Summit Series L3 Down Jacket from Herve Barmasse’s first ascent of the 2700-meters high West Face of Cerro Piergiorgio in Patagonia.
The Pinnacle Archives pop up will be open for 7 days and once the products go to auction all proceeds going back to the mountains. Watch the video at the top of the post for a closer look at the collection, and take a look at the products below.
