Back in June, streetwear designer John Elliott debuted his 24-piece Spring/Summer 2018 collection on Instagram via a select group of artists, athletes, and models. Now, you can check out even more looks from the Field Manual collection in a campaign by photographer Patrick Maus.
Shot across the sun-faded landscape of California's Death Valley and Joshua Tree park, the campaign is delightfully wanderlust in a never-ending summer kind of way. Field Manual was actually inspired by the designer’s trips to these locales. As Elliot previously explained, “The tones and colors reminded my girlfriend and I of summers growing up–we’d leave out T-shirts out in the sun for hours and when we ended up throwing them back on, they’d be a pale, washed out version before taking them off. We both knew I had to adapt that into the collection."
John Elliott established his L.A.-based namesake “American sportswear company,” as he calls it, in 2012. In 2016, GQ named Elliott the Best New Menswear Designer.
