Canadian lifestyle brand Faded has unleashed the lookbook for their upcoming spring/summer 2018 collection, revisiting familiar themes to carry streetwear enthusiasts into the warmer weather.
The brand, founded by Toronto-based designer Jonathan Shimoni, is known for a keen attention to textile details and quality tailoring on their limited menswear runs.
Faded's upcoming drop doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Instead, fans can expect plenty of threads in keeping with the brand’s familiar aesthetic. The spring/summer 2018 drop of fine-knitted menswear pieces includes layer-worthy crews, hoodies, sweats and shorts that are lightweight and breathable. Each piece is made from 100% cotton, most a mix of waffle knit and pique knit, and others in a French terry knit fabric.
Also included in the collection is a raglan plaid shirt, two different bombers (one satin, one suede), Japanese black cotton denim, Nomad cargos that feature bottom leg ties to create a diagonal taper, and a slim-fit light wash Italian blue denim. A soft grey three button trench completes the collection.
As always, every piece in the collection was made in Canada with locally sourced fabrics and knits.
"This collection really focuses on being comfortable yet unique," Shimoni tells Complex. "The most obvious expression of that is the knits, and specifically the seamless blending of our locally milled French terry and piece knit to create an entirely new take on refinement and relaxation."
The Faded spring/summer 2018 collection will be available online at fadedlifestyle.com and select stores across Canada in March. You can check out selected images from the collection below.
