The third drop from Alexander Wang's second season of apparel for Adidas Originals will be released in November. The latest 29-piece unisex collection includes polar fleece zip-ups and joggers, satin coach jackets, reversible sweatshirts, and a reversible puffer jacket.
Once again, Wang is sticking to the underground bike messenger and rave theme that has been present through the first two drops of the season. An accompanying short film by Ryan Staake gives a look into the underground hideout the cyclist gang uses to hide their stash of clothing. This narrative is continued throughout the Juergen Teller-shot lookbook, which also takes place in the group's hidden party area amongst bikes and various equipment.
Heavily theme driven, these new pieces add another dimension to the wardrobe of Wang's fictional gang of raver cyclists. Cold weather garments like puffer jackets, hooded stadium coats, and coach jackets make their debut, while staples from previous collections like track pants, T-shirts, shorts, and pullovers make a return with new graphics and material upgrades. Track pants and jackets are made of polar fleece that make them winter-ready, while other garments are constructed of luxurious satin and sturdy rip stop fabric. Wang's now-signature flipped trefoil logos, and inside-out Three Stripes return alongside new satin patchwork branding as well. Color options across the range will include forest green, volt, black, and white.
Highlights from the drop include a black AW Polar Robe with satin patchwork branding, dual front pockets, and inside-out Three Stripes that is made for both practical use and style. Another standout is the reversible AW Puffer coat that features a black, transparent rip stop fabric on one side, and a white and blue all-over Adidas print on the reverse.
In the footwear department, Wang introduces four new black and grey colorways; two pairs of the Boost-equipped AW Hike Lo, and the newly introduced AW Bball Lo, a low-top version of the AW Bball that appeared in Season 1 of the Wang x Adidas partnership.
