In succession to the 2016 collaborative project between Beams T and Japanese illustrator Yu Nagaba, Goodhood delivers a new Japanese-inspired project, this time with the help of Tokyo-based artist Ken Kagami.
Kagami's work is notable for having humorous and relatable elements. The artist also operates a retail space in Tokyo, The Strange Store, which features a one-of-a-kind mix of clothing, found objects, artwork, and zines. Having developed a cult following over recent years, Kagami has become a respected illustrator and an artist to watch.
Goodhood and Beams T saw Kagami as the perfect artist to collaborate with and have a history of celebrating young artists. The collection works the fictitious theme or the 'Trendy Art Club' and comes in the form of T-shirts, caps, posters, and a limited edition zine.
