To tell the story of time-tested approaches to denim restoration, G-Star have followed three inspiring denim-lovers to talk about how their life experiences reflect the ethos of this new collection.
Featured in the campaign alongside artist BMX rider Shanice Silva and brand collector Daniel Werner is self-taught artist Ricky Lee Gordon. Born in Johannesburg, Ricky always begins his work by standing in front of an empty canvas and lets his instinct, energy and experience spark his work. Ricky's art is experimental and as much about meaning as execution.
This dedication echoes the approach G-Star takes with Denim Reworked. By dismantling and reconstructing denim techniques, the denim giants are executing products that sit in the cross-section of heritage and innovation.
The G-Star Denim Reworked collection is available in-store and online from June 2017.
