This weekend, Toronto shoppers will get the chance to stock up on gear from a range of beloved Canadian labels. The much-hyped Canadian Apparel pop-up in Toronto will feature women’s wear, men’s wear and children’s wear from 10 different made-in-Canada brands.
Canadian Apparel cheekily lifts its name from the recent shuttering of American Apparel stores with the three-day pop-up taking over the recently closed two-storey American Apparel store at 499 Queen Street West in Toronto's fashion district.
Led by Toronto-born streetwear brands Faded Lifestyle and OneMeth, the temporary space was concepted as a way to celebrate Canadian fashion. “There’s never been a better time to celebrate all the amazing things that are being made right here,” says Jonathan Shimoni, creative director of Faded Lifestyle and OneMeth Goods.
Other participating labels include Andrew Coimbra, c.h.s.e., The Feral, Get Fresh Company, Krane, Muttonhead, Outclass, and Sid Neigum.
Canadian Apparel is open from February 24 through February 26 at 499 Queen Street West in Toronto.
Hours: Friday, February 24, 12 – 8 pm; Saturday, February 25, 12–8 pm; Sunday, February 26, 12–6 pm.
