Ta-ku has added another skill to his stacked CV, teaming with Mercedes-Benz to create a short film around the release of their new GLA 180 model.
The in-demand Australian artist was picked by the luxury car company to creative direct the video, shot on location in the beautiful and haunting Penrose State Forest.
Ta-ku’s fingerprints are all over this one. The textured, brooding, shots of the forest are like seeing his popular Instagram account come to life. Ta-Ku was responsible not only for the direction of the short film, but also hand-picked the music, stylist, models and location for the shoot.
Already known for his music, photography and business ventures, Ta-ku can now add ‘filmmaker’ and – for flex value – Mercedes-Benz collaborator to his ever-expanding repertoire.
