For the past six seasons, VFILES Runway has provided a platform for up-and-coming designers to showcase their work. Twice a year, a panel of fashion insiders chooses a handful of young creatives to present their collections at New York Fashion Week and be mentored by designers like Virgil Abloh. Since 2013, the competition has helped launch brands like ASSK, Gypsy Sport, and Melitta Baumeister. But what does it really take to put on a runway show?

VFILES has released a new documentary that offers a behind the scenes look at the production of its recent Fall/Winter 2016 presentation, from start to finish.The 15-minute film shows everything that happens over the four days leading up to the the big showcase, from the model casting to meeting with mentors.
