Everyone loves a good polo shirt, they’re practical for any occasion whether you’re going down to your local bar, turning up for your daily grind or making your way to the terraces. FILA, who have long been repping the polo shirt game, have revisited this classic look for their Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

Made famous by tennis legends Boris Becker and Bjorn Borg, the iconic capital ‘F’ branding has been a mainstay for label, which is one of the many European sports heritage brands that have been making a comeback recently. Along with a lookbook that introduces a selection of new and retro-style polo shirts, FILA have also produced a video (which you can watch above) that takes a close look at how their world famous polos are produced. The video short is a detailed journey that starts from the cotton fields of South-East Asia all the way to it’s final crafting and packing process.

As well as the vintage polos the collection also includes old school redux pieces such as the ‘High Tide’ shorts and cotton jerseys. These are placed alongside new archive additions of the deep retro v-necks, '80s polyester track pants and waterproof jackets. Also within the collection FILA tips its hat to their aforementioned tennis heritage with a limited edition Settanta track top (with headband, of course) made famous by Bjorn Borg himself.

You can view the Spring/Summer 2016 lookbook in our gallery below and the collection itself will be out from March 1 on the FILA webstore and select retailers.
