Extra Butter has been one of the best sneaker spots in New York City for a minute. The shop regularly turns out quality sneaker collaborations that take a theme and straight-up run with it. Well, the shop decided to spread its wings and branch out into some clothing production and just debuted its first in-house collection.

Rather than aim for left field with this one, Extra Butter kept it pretty simple, hammering on essentials that sneakerheads and style guys alike should have in their closets. That includes basics like hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts and sweatpants, but also a few slightly off-beat choices like a "Director's Jacket," which is essentially a coaches jacket that snaps up the front without an actual collar at the neck. The piece allows you to layer a hoodie or other, thicker shirt underneath for a different look. One of the hoodies has a little twist as well, with a half-zip closure and side seam pockets in place of a typical kangaroo pouch pocket on the front. So while it's easy to label gear like this as "basics," there's a little added dimension to separate it from the second rate stuff you might find at the local sporting goods store.

All of the pieces are made in New York and the collection is now available in-store at Extra Butter locations.
