Fashionista got the skinny on Four Pins favorite Need Supply and its plans to spread its wings from its Richmond, Virginia roots. Maybe you didn't know, but Need Supply has been around for 20 years. It isn't new to the game by any means. While the Richmond-based store is their only brick and mortar spot, its next locations are dropping in Japan, the first opening this Saturday in Shibuya and another on November 28th in Kumamoto. They aren't stopping there either, with plans for L.A. and New York locations too, though Need Supply's creative director Gabriel Ricioppo says they aren't rushing it. Along with that news is the launch of an in-house line called Need that will fit in alongside the minimal and accessible stock that Need Supply is known for. Need launches S/S 16 and will include men's and women's clothing made entirely in L.A. where the company recently opened a studio.

It's fucking radical to see independent retailers are being ambitious and going for broke with new locations and projects (see: Trés Bien), bringing the message of good taste wherever they go, so a big congratulations to Need Supply is in order. Play on players. Go ahead and support the cause by taking advantage of the sale they're currently having right now.
