Yeezy Season 2's Scheduling Has Some Designers Pissed Off

None

The lead up to Yeezy Season 2 (being teased on yeezy.supply as we speak) has been a weird one. There were rumors surround movie screenings, then some people around the web even thought 'Ye would present it during Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy show, but the official confirmation that the Yeezy Season 2 show is happening Wednesday, September 16th at noon now has a couple of designers showing during New York Fashion Week a bit, well, pissed off, accoridng to WWD

I'm sure you can understand why. Naeem Khan and Anne Bowen are two designers set to show their collections at the same time as Kanye's show/presentation. They've put in the time, effort, money, sweat, blood and tears to create a collection they're proud of, jumped through all the hoops to get a venue and models and time on the fashion calendar and now Kanye the big bully has come along and essentially made them absolutely obsolete. You have to feel for them a bit. Naturally, they're both scrambling to reschedule their shows on such short notice, which is annoying as fuck I would imagine. Bowen even filed a complaint with the CFDA, though that's kind of useless since Steven Kolb of the CFDA said even he didn't even know about Kanye's show ahead of time. That's just how things go in Surprise Drop America.
