The wait is finally over. After the blockbuster Yeezy Season 1 premiere last NYFW back in February, it looks like Kanye West is going to be showcasing his next collection with adidas Originals this Wednesday.
According to Page Six, an insider confirmed that Kanye West will be debuting the new collection this Wednesday, Sept. 16. This announcement shouldn't be too shocking, considering Kim Kardashian announced on Instagram last night that she was wearing a pair of thigh-high heeled boots from the mysterious Yeezy Season 2.
And things have been mysterious. With the initial Yeezy Season 1, details were scarce right up until the actual show; most information trickling through a cryptic series of updates on the Yeezy.supply website. Initial indications that the new collection would be screened in theaters earlier this week dried up—especially since Fandango's tentative release date of Sept. 10 has come and gone without any Yeezy Season 2 viewings.
Sure, an unnamed insider may not seem like the best initial source, but even cool teen™ Luka Sabbat hinted in an interview with Complex that a second Yeezy collection was in the works. With Kardashian now wearing pieces from the new collection in public, you can bet that at least something will be happening this NYFW.
