Wtaps and Vans have gotten together a couple of times before, but this latest effort is really on one. Three different sneaker models—the Era, OG Style 36 and Sk8-Hi—all get makeovers in different ways. The colored midsole on the Era ($70) is a nice look if you're going for the experimental artist vibe and apparently draw inspiration from the Japanese schoolchildren "uwabaki" slippers. They even dropped "Wtaps" on the tab that usually reads "Vans." The tonal suede on the OG Style 36 ($75) can never go wrong and the subtle animal skin on the Sk8-Hi ($85) is done well without going overboard. The collaboration also has a small capsule of clothing with two tees and a coach's jacket coming at some point as well. The "I <3 Waffles" is meant to symbolize the signature Vans waffle sole in case this is your first time ever hearing about Vans. Though there's nothing wrong with proclaiming you love for just, like, waffles in general either. The sneakers release at a ton of Vans retailers around the world this Saturday, September 12th.
