It’s only right that we teamed up with entertainer and YouTube sensation Lilly Singh to bring you the inside scoop on NYFW. Be sure to check out her YouTube channel, which, as you probably know, has millions of subscribers.

Nicola Formichetti began his fashion career as a stylist, and hit it big when he landed a dream celebrity client: Lady Gaga. He's since done a stint as Diesel's Creative Director, infusing his quirky, off-kilter vision to the Italian denim brand's casual wares. His own line, Nicopanda, is the unfiltered version of Formichetti's manic pixie daydream.

For Spring/Summer 2016, Formichetti took over the Down Town Association, a social club in the Financial District originally founded in 1887, and filled it with models and clothes inspired by ballerinas, punk rockers, and Ilona Staller—aka iconic Italian adult film star Cicciolina, who once married Jeff Koons and eventually became an Italian politician. Lady Gaga showed up to the show, escorted by Formichetti himself. Filling in as our amiable news anchor, Lilly Singh caught up with the designer to talk about the new collection in the video above.
