It's no secret that Kim Kardashian's style changed when she started dating Kanye West. We can never forget his closet makeover that left her in tears, but she has finally realized just how badly she needed it.
In an interview with CNN Style. Kardashian shares how feels now about those early outfits. "I really think that my relationship with my husband Kanye really changed everything. I mean, back in the day I thought I had the best style. I look back at outfits and I'm, like, mortified."
But, according to Kardashian, he has been trying to elevate her look even before they got together.
"Before my husband and I started dating, he brought me Carine Roitfeld's coffee table book [Carine Roitfeld: Irreverent] and was like, 'You should be studying this book, this is like the fashion bible,'" she said.
West once told GQ that Roitfeld was "the single most important person to what street style is today." So, it is clear why he would want her to act as Kardashian's inspiration.
Fortunately, it looks like she was taking notes. The entire West family has since worked very closely with Roitfeld on several spreads for CR Fashion Book, including North's first editorial.
