Kanye West Causes Chaos in the NYFW Schedule to Premiere Yeezy Season 2

Kanye West is causing a ruckus for the NYFW programming: "It's like we are David and he is Goliath."

Kanye West's last-minute decision to show his latest collection, Yeezy Season 2, has caused a ruckus for the NYFW schedule. The runway show will take place at Skylight Modern at 537 West 27th Street on Wednesday, Sept. 16 and Vanessa Beecroft will perform again as she did for the first collection presentation.

As dope as that news is, not everyone is hyped for Kanye's show. Two other brands were already scheduled to present during that time and are now in a logistical conundrum. Nomad VII by Anne Bowen, a streetwear collection by the designer of the same name is now feeling the pressure of whether her show will be eclipsed by Kanye's high-profile and attention-grabbing event.

Bowen took shots at Ye, telling WWD:

Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It's like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this.

Now, with huge logistical and financial hurdles to pass in order to make sure her show gets attention, Bowen has filed a complaint with the CFDA Fashion Calendar. Naeem Khan's NYFW presentation is similarly slated for Wednesday, but with no complaints filed, that means Ye's show will go on.
