Willow Smith has been tapped as the cover star for i-D's "Coming of Age" issue.

The two sparse covers feature Smith dressed in a number of Gucci pieces with just a single word, either "teen" or "spirit." The philosophical teen fittingly espouses her beliefs on the role of age in the issue. "[Age is] a superficial number calculating how many years your physical body has been on earth, but not your soul," she tells i-D

As always with a Smith interview, there are several quotable moments from the cover story—according to Smith, she got her free-thinking attitude from her parents. "If it wasn't for my parents I wouldn't even be on this earth," she says. "If it wasn't for my parents, I wouldn't have learnt that becoming still and traveling within is the only thing that really matters."

While Smith is rumored to be collaborating with Drake she says she also dreams of working with "Wes Anderson and Tim Burton."

Smith also recently appeared in a campaign for Marc Jacobs.
