The Met Gala has occasionally given us moments, like the elevator brawl between Jay Z and Solange, but for the most part it is a straight-laced event where celebrities dress up and are banned from taking selfies. However, photographer Daniel Arnold is pulling back the curtain to show us what the Met Gala festivities are really like, and it looks freaking incredible.
Arnold captures candid moments of celebrities, including Rihanna, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Larry David, Riccardo Tisci, Jeremy Scott, Katy Perry, and George Clooney, getting lit.
Arnold also shares some ridiculous stories, like the one behind the image below of RiRi serenading a crowd. Imagine what it was like, Arnold instructs, to witness Rihanna "twerk down the table where Jay-Z and Diddy are eating cassis sorbet, and have a “Bitch Better Have My Money” singalong with Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Uma Thurman. And then to walk off stage and get a “damn girl” look from Madonna as the whole Veuve-drunk illuminati gives a sloppy standing ovation." We have officially reached peak-FOMO.
