This morning, GQ unveiled a spread with The Weeknd that showcases the Yeezy Season 1 collection, the first collaborative effort from Kanye West and adidas. Now, GQ has unleashed a behind-the-scenes video from its shoot with The Weeknd that offers a much closer look at the collection and shares some insight into how West styles any garment to make it his own.

In the video, GQ editors Jim Moore and Will Welch dissect the collection, lauding it for its ability to let you essentially buy the pieces inside West's closet. "This is what a designer does; they use themselves as a muse," Moore says. The video also walks you through some of the details from the collection that couldn't really be gleaned from a runway show or lookbook. You can tell West was extremely focused on the details by the intricate zippers and customizable cuffing the sweatpants are equipped with, the unique way he approached the colors on the camo jacket, and the inspiration behind the sweaters.

Moore also discusses how West likes to style his clothes, based on shoots the rapper's done with GQ in the past. "We would put a classic sweatshirt on him and the first thing he would do is rip out the neck and stretch out the bottom and pull it down to his knees," Moore says. So even if you can't afford the Yeezy Season 1 collection—and that's likely considering the range's prices—there's still a way to get your clothes like 'Ye.
