Isaora always comes correct with its range of functional yet good-looking activewear. But the New York brand is taking things to a whole new level with its recent collaboration with 2015 Woolmark Prize winner Siki Im.
In an exclusive interview with Style.com, Isaora creative director Ricky Hendry gave fans the inside scoop about the forthcoming capsule with Im’s Den Im line. Apparently, it was intended to fuse traditional performance-wear with everyday casualwear—creating an easy transition from the gym to the streets.
“There’s been a big shift in the way health and fitness have become an integral part of a modern lifestyle; it’s more part of the cultural conversation than ever before and more connected to fashion than it has ever been,” Hendry told Style.com. “I do think people want to integrate performance-wear into their everyday wardrobe, and there is a desire for the kind of transitional pieces that make that possible. More than that, though, I think it’s the realization that your workout can be an extension of personal style rather than an exception. That’s something that has been underserved until recently, but I think we’re only going to see more of.”
The collection, dubbed RVN_, is comprised of four murdered-out pieces: There’s a reversible Drirelease tee, a water-resistant jacket, a pair of low-rise leggings, and DWR-treated shorts with laser-cut ventilation.
The range is currently available for pre-order at Isaora's online store, and will drop at Barneys New York and Lane Crawford early next month.
