A new short film released by i-D is revealing the history behind London's grime scene. The movement is explored through archival footage from 2003 that captured the iconic style that emerged alongside the music. Artists are seen throughout the film wearing fitted caps, tracksuits and Air Force 1s, all pieces that reflected the authentic street style of the time.

The short, which is the first installment of a series on British style tribes, features appearances by musicians like Skepta, D Double E, Crazy Titch, and Dizzee Rascal.

The film also shares a brief history of the emo scene that was popular during the same time.
