We stopped in at Eidos's S/S 16 presentation on Tuesday at the James Hotel and let me just tell you this: If I wasn't sure that I was a complete piece of fucking garbage floating through life with no purpose, I'm very aware of it now. This stuff is exceedingly cool even if you're one of those "I hate suits because I'm too school for school when really I'm just an asshole" types. Listen, I don't like suits either, but the way designer Antonio Ciongoli plays with the traditional completely changes how you see it. While tailoring provides the foundation for a bunch of Eidos' new looks, there's also so much casual sportswear heat. The blouson, so perpetually slept on, gets its due as outerwear worth owning, the subtly printed green shacket is incredibly soft and intricate, the indigo overshirt with the hidden placket is cleaner than a motherfucking whistle and that belted, patterned robe will remind you that everything in your closet is trash. There's really a lot to like here even if the last formal affair you had to attend was your high school graduation. I mean, c'mon man, a beautiful indigo linen popover? The anorak modeled by our favorite Gentry face? Check your attitude at the door, homie.
