The impact of Star Wars' costumes can be seen across the fashion industry, from the Jedi's drapey wardrobe to the badass outfits worn by Han Solo. One character you never would have expected to be a force in the fashion industry is the unclothed robot C-3PO. However, he (it?) has become a style icon.

The Guardian points to C-3PO's recent appearance on the cover of LOVE magazine, which has previously shot artsy editorials featuring Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Cara Delevingne, as evidence of its place as a style icon. The Star Wars robot also shared the cover of GQ with Amy Schumer. On both covers, C-3PO is seen in his natural state, without clothing, but it's the effortless and minimalist gold shine that is influencing fashion, the publication argues.

The robot was particularly influential to one of the Balenciaga collections designed by current Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. A pair of embellished gold leggings paid tribute to the character.

The Guardian sees other Star Wars characters in plenty of modern collections, including Rick Owens' Sith-like garments that mirror the wardrobe of Obi-wan Kenobi and Kanye West's adidas collection is "one-part Yoda to two-parts Prada," according to the publication.

You can read about Star Wars' impact on the fashion world here. However, The Guardian recently named Drake a style icon, so you may want to take this all with a pinch of salt.
