A man has turned himself in after attacking three men in Sacramento, Calif. in what is being called a skinny jean hate crime. According to the LA Times, Timothy Brownell assaulted the group of musicians on Tuesday night because of their tight pants. Brownell reportedly yelled a homophobic slur before charging at them with a knife.

Blake Abbey and Alex Lyman both suffered serious stab wounds, while Weston Richmond sustained a broken hand and minor cuts.

"Some people are just ridiculous. This man literally did all this cause we wear skinny jeans... What a jerk," Richmond wrote on Instagram.

Supporters are organizing an "I wear skinny jeans" fundraiser for the injured musicians, because no one should have to wear their denim in fear.
