Maybe we'll remember 2015 as the year the fashion industry really started to crack down on dangerously skinny models. The UK adds to the other efforts made this year by banning a Saint Laurent Paris ad featuring a model who appears to be unhealthily thin, Fashionista reports. Earlier in 2015, France passed a law that requires models to meet a certain BMI, and Urban Outfitters was also forced to pull one of its ads because the model was underweight.

The banned Saint Lauren ad features the model Kiki Willems, who already looks thin, wearing clothes that make her appear even skinnier, the Advertising Standards Authority says. The filing from the organization states that "the contrast between the narrowness of her legs and her platform shoes" makes her look particularly underweight.

Ever since Hedi Slimane took the helm at SLP he has slimmed down both women's and men's collections considerably. This same signature look is what is getting the label in trouble now. Although the ad may not appear in its current form again, we can probably expect to see Slimane continue to use similarly skinny, rock-n-roll style models.
